Vincent Henin (Vhenin)
Artist, Colourist, Writer
Born in Brussels in 1979, Vhenin developed a passion for comic strips at a very early age. Brought up in a family of comic strip fans, he knew at the age of 9 that he would become a comic strip artist, so he drew up little sketches that he sold to his friends to finance his treats. While still attending school, he took part in comic strip classes at the Belgian Comic Strip Centre in Brussels, then at theEspace Bernier at Waterloo, under the aegis of Jean-Luc Cornette and Jean-François Di Giorgio. In 1997, he met Jacques Martinthe creator of Alix, with whom he worked for 8 years in the " Alix's Travels "published by Éditions Casterman. Vhenin (who then signed under his real name, Vincent Henin) will release 4 albums: Carthage, Jerusalem, Petra and Lutetia 2 of which will win a prize...
After a few years' absence from the comics scene, Vincent Henin becomes Vhenin and takes up the challenge set by his friend Tarekto produce a comic strip for young people, far removed from the classic style of the Alix's travels! Visit Blateman & Bobine project was born...
Alongside his work in comics, Vhenin is graphic designer and interface designer for clients such as the European Commission.
